In this unit I learned there are some similarities between past and present tense. The four forms of past tense are past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. The differences between the 4 forms are very similar to the differences between the 4 forms in the present tense as well. This should help in relating the past and present tenses when teaching students in a classroom environment.
