This Unit has two sections, looking at conditional sentences and also at direct and indirect speech. I found understanding conditionals slightly tricky and I can imagine that I would have to take care to take my time and slowly get my learners to be comfortable with these principles.
As for direct and indirect speech, I found this extremely challenging! The active use of this within english is not what I struggled with but more the dissecting of the answers I naturally want to give to understand why you report speech in a certain way. In other words I found this section very enlightening in terms of trying to view english from within a set of taught rules and structures and how to navigate through all that information. I think that as a teacher one of my personal aims will always be, to try and develop the balance between grammar structures and fluency within my students.
