This unit was very descriptive and laid everything out in a way that is easy to understand. It showed how a simple word at the beginning of your sentence can impact your tone and your formality. Modals are essential in conversational English, as we need them to ask for permission, ability, obligation, and advice. This unit also touched on the two voices used in English: active and passive. It was helpful that this lesson focused on the passive voice, where the focus is on the subject. Overall, this unit retouched on subjects that I had previously studied, and it also taught me a few new things about phrasal verbs: like the fact that there are three different types of phrasal verbs.
