This lesson covered some aspects of English language, conditionals and reporting direct speech, that I use as a native English speaker, but did not necessarily know the rules concerning proper usage. The lesson provided information on the usage, purpose, and examples of the five main conditionals. These were fairly easy to understand. The lesson then discussed reporting of direct speech. In this section it was somewhat difficult to understand the details of the verb changes when reporting direct speech. The lesson provided a chart to show the verb changes from direct speech to reporting speech, but it would have been helpful to include an example for each verb change. Also, when the lesson presented the material on how "timing" affects reported speech I felt the material was very confusing. I understood what the chart indicated, but again some examples would have been helpful. The test questions 16 - 20 were unclear as it seems they tried to combine verb forms and timing into the question (I think but not sure!!) I did enjoy the teaching ideas for the conditionals and will utilize some of these into my teaching.
