unit 9 taught me the basic principles of lesson planning, what to included in the planning process and ways to do so. It is important to know how to produce a lesson plan this is practical and easy to execute in the classroom. Writing a lesson plan has a number of important functions and as a new teacher will greatly help me to have a clear guide as to what i want to teach and how i am going to do so. It will also help me to reflect on past lessons to improve futures classes. By doing so i will be better able to monitor the quality of my lessons and make improvement where necessary. I will be able to see each lessons strengths and weaknesess and where i can improve as a teacher as well as making the class as enjoyable as possible. The overall planning of a lesson will ensure the objective of the class and the activities needed to achieve. It acts as a reference for what the class has done and areas that need more attention. A a first time teacher i would be sure to have a detailed lesson plan, be organized with prompt and materials to ensure there is no time wasted and achieve a high quality of learning for my students.
