This unit was all about tests. Before a class has even begun, a placement test should be given to determine the formation of the groups of students at the same level. When the classes have begun, a diagnostic test should be given to tell the teacher and the students what they know/what they need to learn. Throughout the course, progress tests should periodically be given to show how the students are progressing. At the end of the course, an achievement test should be given. Sometimes, there are external exams that students will be taking elsewhere, and to prepare them, the teacher should give them practice tests. Before this unit, I barely knew any of that. This lesson has prepared me for testing in the classroom.
