This unit covered how to teach phonology and pronunciation. I learned about intonations and their varying applications. For instance a fall/rise intonation is usually utilized when the speaker is seeking a response. I also learned about the importance of stress, and how stressing different words in a sentence can change the meaning. The unit also covered many aspects of speech and how sounds are made. I learned the phonetic alphabet, places of articulation, and manners of articulation.
