In this unit we examined conditionals and indirect speech. Fascinating. Conditionals form the part of speech that describes cause and effect. There are different types of conditionals, depending on when the conditionals took place and the likelihood that they will be realized. Indirect speech or reporting forms the part of speech wherein a person relates to another what a third person said. There are a number of grammatical rules to cover this. The number of things that I take for granted grammatically speaking as a native English speaker never ceases to amaze me.
