I think this unit was light on content compared to the previous lessons. It is understandable that it would not provide an in-depth analysis of a specif course book but most of the content was obvious examples of things you could easily find online. I have experienced classrooms where the teacher relied almost solely on the textbook and found that the students were reluctant to engage. However course books provide structured learning and are a good back up plan if all else fails. I think there is always room for a creative or personal touch from the teacher on the material he or she presents to the class. It makes it more interesting for both the teachers and students. Should the textbook be all in English or have reference to the students' native language?
