This unit discuses the components that teachers must focus on when teaching a new language to their students. Vocabulary, grammar and function of language are the 3 vital elements to learning English, and probably any other language. When learning grammar and vocabulary it is important students understand each word or structures meaning, usage, pronunciation, grammatical form and pattern, spelling, etc. Function of language learning really stresses the need for the activation stage, as this is when we put language such as inviting, refusing, agreeing and disagreeing, and so on, into practice.
