I gained a new insight in the important of reading and listening skills when learning a new language after reading this unit and watching the video. I had never considered how critical it is for students of a different language to be able to predict and infer the meaning of a text. I have spent time reflecting on the teaching styles of my language teacher and how successful or unsuccessful they were based on the level of the classes understanding.
