This unit provides a good overview of pronounciation and phonology. The different components of phonology including Stress, Rhythm and Intonation is explained along with examples of applicable teaching techniques.
I have tried to teach pronunciation by just asking students to mimic the sounds I make. This chapter provides a more scientific explanation for the production of sounds as well as the anatomical mechanics that go into create different sounds. I find this very helpful information to teach pronounciation.
