Lesson 11 discusses the two main categories of language which are: receptive skills and productive skills. Each of these two skills have two components. Receptive skills include listening and reading. Productive skills include speaking and writing. These lesson focuses on issues related to receptive skills. The lesson gives an overview of reasons and motives for reading and listening then lists 5 specific skills used reading and listening. The lesson then gives an overview of the necessary parts of a receptive lesson and then gives a detailed patchwork lesson plan for teaching a receptive skill lesson.
