Unit two taught me that having a basic understanding of the rules behind parts of speech is an extremely important part of being an english teacher. Being a native speaker to the english language i realized how important it is to understand the rules and how to be able to explain to a non native english learner in a positive, fun manner through games and mimes. Understanding the use or function of words and how they are combined together to communicate and form sentences is the first and most important step to teach students. I realized that teaching preposition will be challenging due to no uniformity when i comes to placement. As well as teaching the intricacies of the rules for articles. I realize that this will be challenging to teach and must use interactive methods of teaching for students to understand the basics of sentence structure and placement.
