In this unit I learnt the four forms of past tenses; past simple, past perfect, past continuous, and past perfect continuous. Similar to the previous chapter where I learned about present tenses, I was reminded about the usefulness of the equations and charts to help identify each form. I think in this area students will struggle with irregular forms, especially in tandem with learning the various iterations. Having references and consistent practice should gradually help students distinguish between regular and irregular forms.
