From this unit I've learnt that there are many different types of beginner English student learners and many different reasons that people are learning English. Some classes are multilingual which has the advantage that all students have a common language in English and most likely live in an English speaking country making learning easier to learn. In monolingual classes, cultural and language background of students is the same meaning they are more likely to have the same or similar problems with learning English. Also, when teaching business students it is essential to do a needs analysis to find out specific detail on how English is used and what is most important for students in their area of work with regards to the English language.
