In this unit we scratched the surface of teaching English pronunciation and phonology. Covering topics like intonation versus stress, sound joining, place and manner of articulation, and the international phonemic alphabet, we explored how to incorporate these into a classroom. Other than a few basic lessons about stressed and unstressed words in my poetry segments of high school English class, I have not studied these topics much. Thus, this lesson was very informative.
