Unit eighteen deals with more complex concepts that require students to have a greater understanding of the english language. For example, modals require students to understand the tenses fairly well before using these different forms of sentences. Furthermore, the passive voice requires students to have a good understanding of sentence structure to be able to understand the types of phrases that are used. The same can be true of the phrasal verbs. I found this helpful for me to be able to define and describe these phrases, which I use all the time. Finally, I believe this will help me because I will be able to better communicate these parts of speech with my students.
