The unit is about teaching productive skills which are: speaking and writing. As for speaking, the two main idea is to practice accuracy and fluency - help students to improve them. And as for writing, there are four main key: handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation, and creative writing. Based on my experience, when I was in elementary, I have always excelled with writing than speaking as I am from the Philippines and it isn't common for me to speak English on a daily basis and this made me conscious and shy about speaking in English as I can have a lot of errors, unlike with writing - I can check what I wrote and correct if I want to. Teaching both would be a challenge as students usually won't have the same level in both productive skills. Balance would be the key mostly.
