Unit 9 discusses the idea of lesson planning and whether it is a good or bad idea. When I first started out teaching and being in the education field I believed lesson plans were unnecessary and time consuming. Being a teacher means adjusting and thinking on the fly, so my belief was that a lesson plan would be useless. However, as time went by and through experience, I’ve learned that lesson plans are necessary and an important part of the teaching process. As noted from this unit, lesson plans come in different shapes and size. It doesn’t belong to a single format or structure. Instead, there are basic principles that should be considered when making one. Those includes learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, and a few other important things.
