In this unit,basic differences between effective and ineffective teaching are presented crearly through the both videos.
On the one hand,the teacher in the first video seems nervous and there are no smiles at all.He does not introduce himself and he does not even know his students names having as a result in a negative atmosphere.Moreover,he appears demanding by asking grammar rules nobody knows and keeps saying that's easy about something noone can even understand.No explanations,no examples on the board and no body language are enough for a disastrous lesson.Students seem intimitaded and afraid to answer.
On the other hand,in the second video we can watch a totally different kind of teaching.The teacher speaks slowly and he is definitely understandable.He explains and gives clear instructions and everyone seem to comprehend what they do.His big smile and jokes make the class more vivid and students really like participating in.Furthermore,the lesson plan structure is great as we can see the engage,study and activate phases fulfil students' needs.
To conclude,teachers' attitude,manner and style create the atmosphere of a classroom and the raport with students.Besides,the lesson structure and content should be well prepared in order students to learn easily.
