This unit has provides a break from the theoretical materials and gives us a chance to observe a real life English language classroom in two different lessons. And mainly I have learnt about how does the attitude of the teacher affect the students in the two lessons. For example, the teacher has a positive and engage attitude in the second lesson and the students respond with a high level of participation. But in the first lesson, the students find it hard to understand the lesson because they are not given a clear explanation of the lesson point. The second lesson has given many positive examples of how does the teacher gives a effective class to the students. For example he uses gesture and miming to help the students produce more vocabulary and to aid their understanding. He speaks more softly in the class, which forces the students to pay closer attention. He learns the students’ names and involves all of the students in the class to build a better rapport with the students. Therefore, I've learnt that there are so many factors that dermine the success of the lesson.
