In this unit, future tenses were explained e.g. future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous,and going to be (future) The difference usage of future simple and future continuous is that future simple is present when stating facts, promises, threats, and assumptions. While future continuous is used when stating future events and asking inquiries about others future plans. However, both are used when making predictions. Future perfect is used when something will be completed while future perfect continuous is used when one wants to state how long something will take. Both use “will have” in their sentence structure however future perfect continuous adds “been” as well. This course went over present simple and present continuous again because both can be used interchangeable with present and future tenses, their usage does change depending on the tense. This course has taught me how to differentiate these future tenses and how to correctly form their sentence structures. In addition, I have learned a wide array of activities to conduct when teaching this unit to future students.
