The conditionals and reported speech unit is important in improving how students express themselves within the English language.The unit outline was very helpful as it indicates all conditionals and breaks down the form and usage quickly. Additionally, the section discussing reported speech versus direct speech was clear and concise for readers to follow. This section gave rules, tendencies, and acceptions for these two types of speech. I also found the teaching methods sections very helpful for future application. Although I found the majority of this unit helpful, I feel it was lacking in the purpose, or importance of using conditionals as well as using direct or reported speech. I feel that a section on why this is important for students would be extremely helpful. Although I can take away implied notions of why these concepts are important, it would be useful to have these outlined in the unit so there is no confusion on why students should learn these topics.
