This unit wat dedicated to pronunciation and phonology, which I personally found not only very interesting but very useful as well. As mentioned in the text, phonology and pronunciation are usually not taught in classes, and if they are, then not well enough, missing out on important details. In my opinion it's because teachers find it difficult to teach it (as they often don't know/understand it either) or don't find it necessary (which is wrong, as many students don't have access to movies or TV shows, from which they can learn it themselves).
I find some of the parts of the text more useful (Intonation, Stress, etc.) than others (Articulation - The Speech Organs etc.), as some of the parts get way too descriptive and its quite easy to confuse them. However, I still think that every teacher should learn (or at leas get familiar with )this theory.
