In this unit, I learned the basic formatting on how to create my own lesson plan(s). The benefits of writing a lesson plan aids a teacher to explain what they want the class to understand from the lesson, it’s also a document that one can refer to during the lesson as well as a record to keep track of past lessons and future ones. I have learned that a lesson plan should be organized but simple enough for the teacher and others to understand and should be seen as a guide not a manual. A detailed lesson plan should include learners objective, personal aims,language point, teaching aids, timing, class level and many other criteria. These parts all contribute to the flow of the lesson and gives the teacher an immediate reference.
