Unit 10 showed two examples of an English class, with one being taught poorly and the other effectively.
From this Unit I have learned how to analyse a classroom and to take note of the important requirements that are needed to make a lesson as engaging as possible.
I have learned that attitude plays an important role in teaching and that the teacher should always have a positive attitude when interacting with and teaching students.
Another thing that I feel is important to mention is that handwriting on the whiteboard when teaching should always be neat and using different colours to indicate different parts of a sentence or to emphasise a grammar point is extremely useful in teaching and elicitation. Both lessons showed this, however, the second lesson used more effective ways to highlight parts of the sentences.
