This unit was a lesson on direct and reported speech and conditional statements. Conditionals are fairly self explanatory, as sentences that need to satisfy a condition for them to be/have been true. The verb tenses may confuse students, but they will confuse students even more during reported speech. Each verb tense drops back one in terms of past/present tenses. Since a lot of the tenses are similar, that will be difficult to explain. I learned how to differentiate the tenses during report speech in a more clean cut way than I had previously naturally come to know as a native speaker.
