In this unit, I learnt to be patient with our skills. Particularly, I have learnt to be patient with writing. It says it can be improved by reading, and it is true. As well as reading, writing is one of the skills we learnt to finish the acquisition cycle. Speaking is highly involved with the environment, that is why it is so important to give students that environment with controlled activities, being creative, and making them communicating only in English. Giving feedback after a discussion or debate, is also important to correct their mistakes (pronunciation, and also, as the unit says, to record it). With writing, things get a little bit more difficult and different, because there are many words that sound the same but are written differently. So, let’s motivate our students to read and improve their writing skills. Let’s mix receptive and productive skills to have a strong and good English.
