This was a very interesting unit. Usually pronunciation and intonation are two neglected aspects in English teaching, as the teacher will often focus in other topics. But this is certainly a crucial point for language learning as it will give the students the confidence to try to speak as close to native speech as possible. It is very important that the teacher feels comfortable with this subject and can find creative ways to reach the student. To encourage the use of the language as much as possible and to help students to avoid direct translations from their native language, which would only lead to more confusion. It is also important to emphasize the use of drilling and other exercises considering that practice is the best way to get proficient on this.
