In this unit I learned about the different types of classes and levels that I may be required to teach. The different categories of beginner students are the absolute beginner, the false beginner, the adult beginner, the young beginner and the beginner without Roman alphabet. I also learned the difference in teaching one-on-one as opposed to teaching a group. Some advantages of one-on-on is that you and the individual could develop a close relationship, there are no mixed levels of skills, the student is usually highly motivated and it is less formal. I also learned that when teaching Business English you do not have to be an expert in their business.
