This time the attention focuses on Productive Skills. In this case teaching techniques variate from those used in a Receptive Skills focused lesson. However, each skill will be address and practiced in different stages of the lesson, so is very important for the teacher to be prepared and to fully understand what would be the main goal for the students in each stage of the lesson. Understanding the basic functioning of this process helps the teacher to prepare better and more focused lessons. It is very important that the teacher feels comfortable with this subject and can find creative ways to reach the student. To encourage the use of the language as much as possible and to help students to avoid direct translations from their native language, which would only lead to more confusion. It is also important to emphasize the use of drilling and other exercises considering that practice is the best way to get proficient on this. Topic selection of class materials as well as exercises and drills is crucial to get the students to relate with the lesson and better reach their full potential.
