It is ironic that one learns grammar only when one is preparing to teach it to others. Some of the ideas in this lesson, i.e., passive voice and modals, were familiar to me, but others (relative clauses and phasal verbs), I had never before seen formally identified! The lesson does well to say, "Don't be afraid of phasal verbs!" - I could well understand how a teacher would hesitate to teach to others what she has only just learned herself. However, the lesson provides a clear outline of the concept, and good examples, so perhaps there is still hope.
