Unit 15 on Evaluation and Testing underscores the importance of assessment of a student's language levels before/during/after he/she undergoes language learning. It explains and differentiates the various methods of assessment that a language school can do at various stages in the student's language learnjng journey. It also includes a discussion of some of the most popular external exams used globally to assess English competence. From this unit, I learned some of the different types of tests, including placement tests, diagnostic tests, progress tests, and practice tests. I also learned the differences between TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, and other external exams.
