In this unit we learnt about phonology and pronouciation. Phonology is considered as análisis the physical properties of the sounds. For correct pronunciation students need to be familiar with different features such as stress and intonation. The variation of valume and pitch in a whole sentence is called intonation and stress is considered as a word that bears the principal emphases in the sentence . For correct production of the words we need to know about phonemic alphabet and symbols, and articulation which is consisted of the speech organs,place of articulation and manner of articulation. As a teacher we need to be familiar with all these aspects of pronounciaton and also know when we should teach them and which technique is appropriate.
