An effective teacher consider the teaching of pronunciation an integral part of the course. Students are very concerned about it. In this lesson we studied the stress, rhythm, and intonation, as well as the International Phonetic Alphabet. Once the students are familiar with this alphabet they should be able to accurately pronounce any word in the dictionary. I have learned from unit 3 how the phonemic alphabet sounds and some teaching techniques for the pronunciation.
