Unit Eighteen was about Modal Verbs, Phrasal Verbs, Relative Clauses and Passive Voice. Modal verbs are ones that express obligation, possibility, permission, prohibition, ability or advice. Modal verbs include can, could, might, shall, should, ought to, etc. Phrasal verbs are multi-word verbs that have a participle added for example pick up, pull over, turn off. There are 2 types of relative clauses: ones that define and ones that do not define. Passive voice is when you either don't know, don't care or don't want to say who did something so you take the object of an active verb and make it the subject of a passive verb.
