Unit 9 gives a very detailed and helpful overview about lesson planning. I have learnt that as an inexperienced teacher it is very helpful to have a lesson plan at hand as a guide through the lesson. But it is also very important to stay flexible and use the students as guides as well since they will show the teacher the real pace and load of learning and exercises they can really handle during a class. The lesson plan also functions as a record and can thus help inexperienced teachers as a reference book.
