Writing skills is difficult for Chinese people. But is easier than speaking skills and listening skills. Teaching writing skills is not easy. I am a little bit confused about engage phase. As it is brought before the study phase, students are supposed to know little about the necessary vocabulary, new grammar etc. Then how to make the engage phase not boring and not making students feeling nothing to talk but on the other hand the activity should be related to the new knowledge which is supposed to be learned later of the lesson. That is very difficult.
