In this unit, I learned about the different classes and how they should be taught. The different classes are: absolute beginner who have no English at all, the false beginner, these are the students who studied English before, but did not retain the language. There are the adult beginners who have decided to learn the language.
There are the young beginners who learn the language easier than the adults but lack motivation as it was not their decision to learn the language and do not see the benefits. Then there are the beginner without Roman alphabet who need a lot work with basic literacy skills, reading and writing practice.
There are different groups of classes: 1-1 and group classes. I also learned the problems I could face in the classrooms and how to best handle them especially with
young learners.
I should avoid the use of the students' mother tongue in the classroom. One advantage of having multilingual students is they will have to speak English as they don't all speak the same language.
