When teaching new language to students, it is important to have some aspects in mind. For teaching vocabulary, teachers need to be conscious of how easy it will be for students and why; as well as the relevance of the new vocabulary. This will be easier when taught in a ‘straight arrow’ pattern. With grammatical structures, the teaching will have to focus on the meaning, form and use. A patchwork pattern can be used here.
