In this unit I learned about the methods of reading. The vary of teaching ways to teach reading and train listening skills. Reading and Listening are not easy for asian students as the language systems are totally different. Pronunciation, vocabulary and the cultural are totally different. I believe culture is also an important aspect which would influence students' reading and listening study especially for Chinese. Chinese people may not very familiar with those musicians, writers, movies etc. in Europe or America so that English texts or audio materials regarding to western culture would be difficult for them to understand and hardly interest them. And the pronunciation is also very difficult for Chinese as in Chinese we don't speak or read like the way when we speak or read in English. I would prefer there is more information about how to train those leaners in Asia.
