This lesson has taught me the importance of teaching pronounciation to students. This cannot happen until you focus on areas such as stress, intonation, and rhythm. It may not be convenient for students to always have a teacher helping them saying and pronouncing words. Therefore, it is a teacher's job to help the student to understand how to deal with new words that are difficult to pronounce. The uses of spelling as we have seen in this lesson will not help a student much to pronounce a word correctly. Students should have basic information about the international phonemic chart so that they can use a dictionary to pronounce the words correctly.
