This unit clearly showed what it takes to be a good teacher and how that may vary depending on the type of students in the class. It emphasized the importance of knowing the level at which your students are learning so that we can base how we teach. If they were an adult learner at the intermediate level, I would not want to give them a simple beginner lesson since that would not be helpful to their learning. It also may be an insult to them since they have already spent the time to get to a higher level of learning. Cultural differences in learning are also a big part of how we should be forming our lessons. Working to make sure they learn as much as they can in a way that works best with their culture. Overall, this unit is informing potential teachers to be very aware of who is in their class before jumping into the lessons.
