Unit 14 dwells on course books and lesson materials. Course books are very important as it helps the teacher in lesson preparation. Regarding the use of course books for teachers, an effective teacher should adapt the materials to the needs of the students,should be able to replace unsuitable activities with similar and more relevant ideas. A good teacher will supplement the course books with extra material to reinforce understanding. Teachers should endeavor to use authentic materials in the class room so as to ease understanding of the lesson being taught.
