In unit 11 of this course we study the importance of reading and listening skills when teaching. These two skills are called receptive skills. We learned how they are equally important. We also read an example of a straight arrow ESA lesson in the test portion of this unit and had to place them in the correct order in which they would occur in the ESA lesson. I seem to find this lesson to be a little easier to grasp the material because of the videos in the previous lesson's example.(unit 10) As a teacher already to students in another country, I know first hand the important of applying these receptive skills with different students in different ways. I will definitely be looking back at this material for reminders as I continue my studying.
