Unit 20 on Troubleshooting explains some of the common concerns or problems that an ESL/EFL teacher may encounter in the classroom. It then provides strategies to handle these concerns or problems. From this unit, I learned that there is no one single formula to handle different kinds of student concerns. As such, it is important that the teacher exercise discretion and understanding to come up with the best solution for the students. It is also important that the teacher anticipate potential problems even before coming to class so that he/she can address them even before or as soon as they arise.
