This unit we learned about lesson planning and the importance of lesson planning. I found it useful to see an actual lesson plan and be able to practice doing one in a way that engaged previous learning. I also learned different reasons for the importance of lesson planning, such as having record of your lesson and being able to have a working document. I found that the focus on what to include in a lesson plan was very helpful, such as having personal aims, learner objectives and timing organized so that your lesson runs as smoothly as possible and is well organized. I did find it helpful to have a chance to look at how to use ESA phases in a lesson plan, and to be able to see how a lesson plan should be organized in order to get the most out of the learning experience.
