This unit consists of sentence structure. A teacher needs to have background information in different parts of speech and differentiate between them in order to better explain grammar lessons to students. Not being able to identify certain words can cause confusion for the teacher and therefore to the students. For example, the differences between some types of pronouns, adjectives, gerunds, and verb tense. Once a student can understand a sentence's structure better, he or she will not make too many mistakes making them.
