This unit was a great complement to learning the receptive skills from the last unit. I had not considered that, despite the importance of writing skills when learning a language, it is often neglected due to the classroom environment being more conducive to learning the productive skill of speaking (and the receptive skills of listening and reading). I think that when teaching speaking skills in the classroom, it is very important to understand the differences between the goal of accuracy activities and fluency activities, so as to ensure the students are learning the material correctly, while encouraging flowing production of the spoken language.
